1. what makes rarhost different from other file hosts?

rarhost is a file hosting service only for .rar files. we only focus on providing hosting for .rar files, however with advanced features no other file host has. for example users can view the contents of the rar archive before downloading, ensuring it contains the files you want. there are also many other features, as listed on the main index page.

2. what is a .rar file, what program do i need?

.rar is the file format for the program winrar, a file compression program which performs much better than a standard windows zip file. you can find more information about winrar and how to download it by visiting the official site at www.rarlab.com.

350mb

4. how many files can i upload?

you can upload an unlimited amount of files, including split rar files.

5. what files can i upload?

you can upload any files you have legal rights to, you may not use our service to upload material such as files subject to copyright laws. please read our tos for more information.

6. how long do you keep a file?

we only delete files if they have been inactive (no downloads) in over 30 days, and if the file was uploaded by a member, 2 months.

7. will my file i upload be available to anyone?

we do not allow people to search through uploaded files, therefore the only people who know about your file are the people you have given the download url to (if any).

8. can i delete my file?

yes, upon upload completion please save the deletion address we give to you, it is under the download address. if you have lost the deletion link and need the file removed asap, please contact us. if you are a member you won't have to remember the address, since you can manage and delete files from your member account.

9. what are the advantages on becoming a member?

members have access to their own unique control panel (cp), our control panel saves all of their uploaded file urls and also serves as a mini management system. you won't ever need to remember the download url, deletion url, and you can also check how many downloads your file has had! becoming a member is 100% free.

10. how can i check how many downloads my upload has had?

only members can check how many downloads.

11. the password on the download page is incorrect?

the original uploader has to specify the password manually if they choose too, due too encryption we can not tell if a password is right or wrong.

12. how do you make money if everything is free?

we make our money from sponsors, we only have 2 ads on the whole of our site.
